The Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup last night and are celebrating their championship. Frank Seravalli has shared a crazy update on Brad Marchand's future with the back-to-back champions.

Having only to give up a first-round pick in 2027 or 2028, the Panthers have certainly won this trade as Marchand was voted the second most valuable player in the playoffs, behind only teammate Sam Bennett.
The pair received every single first and second-place vote and clearly helped the Panthers defeat the Edmonton Oilers in convincing fashion.
Now, everybody is anticipating what will happen to Marchand, and the belief is that he could receive as much as $8 million per year on the open market.
However, insider Frank Seravalli believes that the Panthers could find a way to convince Marchand to stay and try to three-peat with the Cats.
"There is a possibility that the Panthers could make the math make sense to keep Brad Marchand" - Frank Seravalli

Marchand, 37 years old, is entering the twilight of his career but does not show any sign of slowing down. Scoring 20 points in 23 playoff games, he stepped up at the biggest moments for the Panthers.
While many expect Marchand to receive a deal in the four-year range, if the Panthers wanted to ensure he stays, they could offer a ludicrous deal that is eight years long with a significantly lower AAV and have him signed till he is 45.
We will have to see over the next two weeks what happens with Marchand, as he could stay in Florida or he could leave and go to the highest bidder in free agency.
