Edmonton Oilers Officially Looking To Part Ways With $4 Million Forward
The Edmonton Oilers have finally found their groove after this lacklustre start to the 2023-24 season, while most players have improved with new head coach, one of them has not and is making to much money for the Oilers to be worrying about.
Oilers shopping around Brown
According to a source, The Edmonton Oilers are looking at every possible scenerio at getting rid of Connor Brown's contract. The forward has 4 points in 44 games played this season, recording 0 goals. He was brought in because of Connor Mcdavid's influence, but has been underperforming badly.
Mark Spector wonders if the Edmonton Oilers would consider parting with F Connor Brown. He has been listed as a healthy scratch and with his underwhelming play this season, he could be someone the team opts to move.
To add to this, Brown isn't really seen as a depth piece anymore after the Oilers swooped in on Corey Perry after his sudden buyout with the Chicago Blackhawks. Players like James Hamblin, Warren Foegele, Perry and more have been outperforming the former 20 goal scorer.
Sad reality, but injuries have probably took a toll on the former prolific scorer.
