Corey Perry and Evander Kane open up on their on-the-bench argument
Corey Perry and Evander Kane made headlines recently as they were seen fighting on the bench and the pair have spoken on the recent incident.
Against the Calgary Flames, Evander Kane and Corey Perry got into a heated argument on the bench which made headlines everywhere.Teammates argue all the time but this is the second time one has snapped at Evander Kane on the bench. I believe the message is the same, it's the little plays that make a big difference
Perry, a seasoned veteran, is clearly trying to get the most out of his teammates and wants Kane to be playing at his best of his abilities.
After the game, Kane and Perry spoke on the argument and both approached the matter with maturity.
"That's how you win. You hold everybody accountable, you push everybody's buttons. You do whatever you have to do to get the best out of everybody." - Corey Perry
"Guys are competitive & want to win & want to make each other better." - Evander Kane
The Oilers know that if they want to win the cup, they will need the most out of everybody including Kane, and like Perry said, those little plays do make a big difference.
