The Edmonton Oilers won a key Game 2, but after Darnell Nurse's slash to Roope Hintz, he's clearly a marked man against the Stars moving forward.

Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals was largely dominated by the Edmonton Oilers, but late in the game, defenseman Darnell Nurse did something that may spark these Dallas Stars ahead of Game's 3 and 4 in Edmonton.
Late in the game, Nurse clearly slashed the legs of veteran Roope Hintz, who had to be helped from the ice, unable to put any weight on his left foot as Nurse was handed a minor penalty as a result.
Unsurprisingly, this made an already intense series that much more so, and ahead of Game 3 in Edmonton, Stars forward Mason Marchment has revealed that Nurse will be a marked man moving forward in this series.
"Yeah, for sure. A lot of that stuff, you just keep in the back of your mind, and if the opportunity presents itself then, you take your chance. We've got a long series here."
While Marchment doesn't specifically say that the team will go after Nurse, he notes that it's in the back of the teams mind, and if they get the chance to get their revenge, they'll certainly take it.
With the Oilers having momentum on the back of a 3-0 win in Game 2 however, the Stars can't be careless, as this is a team loaded with superstars that can hurt you on the scoreboard if you try to make things too physical.
Ultimately, there's been plenty of talk around this hit and whether or not it should have been a minor or major penalty, and while that incident is now behind us, don't be surprised to see it come up again in this series.
