Following a disappointing year that failed to yield a playoff appearance, Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov is making a plea to free agents this summer.

The Boston Bruins have missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 1st time since 2015-16, and they signaled what could be the start of a painful rebuilding process.
They traded away multiple key pieces of their lineup at the Trade Deadline last month, including captain Brad Marchand (to the divisional foe Florida Panthers of all places), Charlie Coyle, and Brandon Carlo.
Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov, who joined Boston with a multi-year contract last summer, believes that opposition players who are set to hit the free-agent market this summer should consider joining forces with him wearing the spoked B sweater.
Speaking with media members, he said that team management made it clear to the players that they want to return to their winning ways, and he anticipates a busy summer of additions.
They're willing to do anything to win. And that was a clear message today. So, I think it's going to be exciting. It's going to be an exciting summer, and it's going to be exciting for us to see our new teammates, whoever is going to come and join us.

That's what we expect. It's the Boston Bruins. It's a team of 100-year history. It's an Original 6 team. It's an unbelievable organization. That's what our fans expected from us, so I think that's great.

Last summer, the Bruins also signed Elias Lindholm while acquiring goaltender Joonas Korpisalo from the Ottawa Senators in return for Linus Ullmark.
Zadorov continued by saying that not only is Boston an attractive destination on its own for free agents, but the Original 6 reputation of the Bruins should also be more than enough to entice opposition players.
Why would they not want to come here? I mean, it's an Original Six team. It's a great city to play in....So, I mean, it's a great organization, great management, great leadership up top.
