Bruins' Elias Lindholm Confident He Can Rebound After Injury-Plagued First Season
Elias Lindholm had a down year in his first season with the Boston Bruins, but now the veteran forward has expressed his belief that he can bounce back in 2025/26.
Last season, Elias Lindholm signed with the Boston Bruins after splitting the previous year between Calgary and Vancouver, with hopes high that the veteran forward could click with David Pastrnak.
Unfortunately, the 30-year old forward went through plenty of injuries and struggles, as he managed just 17 goals and 40 points with the team as he fought through those injuries to play in all 82 games.
Why Boston Still Believes in Lindholm as a Two-Way Center
However, the team aren't giving up on him after signing him to a long-term deal last summer, and he's expressed his confidence too, revealing optimism that he can bounce back to previous form in a recent interview with Daily Faceoff.
"I didn't get off to a strong start, had problems with my back, and missed the entire camp. To be able to play from the beginning, I had to take an injection, and it took a few weeks before it helped. I couldn't do anything for a month or two, so I felt behind and had to catch up. It wasn't a great start, but I hope this coming season can be better.
We've brought in some players, more hardworking types, so the feeling is that we've added more of a Boston style to our game. A lot went wrong, but hopefully, things will go better this season and allow us to make the playoffs at least."

Can Lindholm Regain His 40-Goal Form in 2025-26?
Back in 2021/22 alongside Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk, Lindholm posted a career high of 42 goals, and after just 34 in the past two years, many believe he is past his prime.
However, with the duo of Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak alongside him, the belief in Boston is that Lindholm is capable of being a 1C again, and if he's healthy and starts well, there's no reason why he can't bounce back with a monster season in 2025/26.
