The Boston Bruins have added some depth with University of Minnesota captain Jaxon Nelson for a potential deep playoff run.

It was announced earlier today that the Boston Bruins and University of Minnesota hockey standout Jaxon Nelson have come to a contract agreement.

The #NHLBruins  have signed forward Jaxon Nelson to a one-year, entry-level contract.

Nelson is a 6'4», 220 lbs forward who is coming off a career year posting 19 goals, 12 assists, and 31 points in 39 games. He closed out his season on a torrid scoring pace netting 11 goals and 13 points in his final 10 NCAA games.

It is not yet known when Nelson will suit up for the Bruins but given how he has an NHL frame and capabilities, he is almost certain to play in the NHL soon.
