UPDATE ON POTENTIAL #1 OVERALL PICK MATVEI MICHKOV INJURY

AUG 4, 2022  (16H08)      RYAN
The only name that is rivalling Conor Bedard for the #1 spot in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft is Russian prospect Matvei Michkov. This kid is labeled as the next Ovechkin with the way he scores goals.

Earlier today he took a huge hit from former NHL defenceman Alexei Emelin, which was a clean check, but caused Michkov's knee to bend and he was forced to leave the game with an injury.

After the game Michkov was seen limping out of the arena on his way to the hospital.

Now we have learned that Michkov will miss atleast 2 months with an injury.
