Gagner In Danger Of Losing His Career
Sam Gagner, at 34 years old, is currently on a PTO with the Edmonton Oilers.
Gagner is currently sitting at 1,015 career games played, most of which have come with the Oilers.
However, there has been a terrible update regarding Gagner and some are now worried about if he will ever play in the NHL again.
Terrible Gagner Update
Oilers reporter Jim Matheson recently revealed the following info.
Sam Gagner who had surgery on both hips will only practise in camp and won't play games. In a PT0 He will be evaluated in a month and might go to Bakersfield
Double hip surgery is a long recovery for anybody, let alone an NHLer. Gagner's hips were likely affecting him last season as he had a relative down year scoring only 14 points in 48 games with the Winnipeg Jets.
Hopefully, Gagner can recover quickly and quickly prove to be more than worthy of an NHL spot by impressing in the AHL. If not, this could be the end of his NHL career at only 34 years old.
