The Toronto Maple Leafs had the chance to knock the reining two-time back to back stanley cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning out of the playoffs the other night but failed as the Bolts took game 6 in overtime.

Tonight they will play game 7, which has not been friendly to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the past as they are 0-9 in elimination games during the Matthews/Marner era.

In the last 5 series clinching games for the Tampa Bay Lightning the have won all 5 by the scores of:
1-0 against Montreal
1-0 New York Islanders
2-0 Carolina Hurricanes
4-0 Florida Panthers
2-0 Dallas Stars

5 straight shutouts for the Bolts, which does not sound good for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Stamkos was asked today about game 7 and this is what he had to say:

This group has proven we don't care how we get it done. We just want to get it done.»
