REPORT: PATRICK KANE MAKES STATEMENT ABOUT KIRBY DACH THAT MAKES THE BLACKHAWKS LOOK AWFUL

The Chicago Blackhawks entered a rebuild at the end of last season and many believed this would be the opportunity for their 2019 third overall pick to finally be given a chance to shine, but instead they traded him to the Montreal Canadiens, where he is now playing on the first line with and .

So far this season, Dach already had 17 points in 20 games, putting him on pace to blow past his previous career highs.

Today at 2pm the Montreal Canadiens play the Chicago Blackhawks, which will be the first time Dach gets to play his former team.

Dach's former teammate had nothing but great things to say about the young star and even throws a little shot at the coaching staff for how they employed the top prospect:

It's tough coming into the league at 18-19 as the third overall pick. The expectations are high. When you're playing on a fourth line, you don't play as much as you should. He showed a lot of potential, but was in a tough role.

Dach definitely deserved to be playing higher in the lineup during his time in Chicago, but they decided he wasn't going to be part of their future and traded him away. The Montreal Canadiens are now reaping the benefits of the Blackhawks mistakes.
