REPORT: American and Canadian hockey players WARNED to leave Russia IMMEDIATELY

The KHL is widely considered the second best hockey league in the world and is definitely the second highest paying. Players who aren't quite good enough for the NHL anymore, or who believe they can get paid more overseas, usually head to the KHL.

Currently there are 48 Canadian and 16 American players playing in the Kontinental Hockey League but that number may very soon drop to 0.

The conflict between Russian and Ukraine is escalating and the U.S. Embassy in Moscow is warning those that are still residing in Russia to leave immediately.

The Canadian Government also issued a message encouraging Canadians to leave as soon as possible.

Things are getting worse in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the United States of America and Canadian Governments are preparing for the worst scenario.
