PATRICE BERGERON WAS LEAKING BLOOD AFTER TAKING SLAP-SHOT TO THE FACE (VIDEO)

During the third period though, Bruins fans held their breath as the Boston Bruins were on the powerplay and David Pastrnak took a one-timer that went off an Islanders defender and deflected directly into the face of Patrice Bergeron.
Bergeron immediately hit the ice and Casey Cizikas of the Islanders called for the referee to stop the play:

This is the second time we've seen a slapshot to someones face this season, the first being when John Carlson took a shot from Brendan Dillon, that legit ripped his ear off.
Bruins fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief though as Bergeron returned to the bench after some repairs:
