MAY 15, 2022  (10H32)      S. HARPER
The Boston Bruins have been eliminated from Stanley Cup contention after losing Game 7 to the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night, and now the most pressing question on the mind of many Bruins fans is what lies ahead for Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron?

The rumours are that Patrice Bergeron is likely going to retire at season's end, although that's not been confirmed. Bergeron is a pending UFA this off season, The 36 year old has played in over 1200 NHL games, all for the Bruins and was a key piece to the Bruins 2011 Stanley cup win.

After the Bruins game Bergeron would spend a moment with his teammates after being eliminated, looking like this indeed was the end for Bergeron. He was ask by the media what's next, is he going to retire this summer and Bergeron would simply say:

"It's too early right now," said Bergeron when asked about his future following the loss on Saturday. "It's too fresh I really need to go home relax and decide do I want to come back or not right now I just don't know."

This was the scene as he left the ice following Game 7:
