AUG 15, 2022  (15H42)      RYAN
After knocking off the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning, the Colorado Avalanche are currently the best hockey team in the world.

The Stanley Cup is currently making its tour around the world and every player on the team is getting it's day with the cup. Nazem Kadri is about to get his day with the cup and he plans on making history.

According to Avalanche reporter for Mile High Sportss, Aarif Deen, Kadri will be the first player in history to take the Stanley Cup inside a mosque when he gets his day on August 27th.

Nazem Kadri is proud of his Muslim heritage and it will be a really cool moment that he will be able to celebrate with all the community he grew up in.

Kadri is currently an Unrestricted Free Agent without a contract or team to play on next season, but this historic moment definitely deserves some spotlight on the 27th!
