It just so happened that his second game back in the NHL was against the Tampa Bay Lightning, who he was injured against.
What happened was back on November 8th, Kane fell to the ice and Lightning's Patrick Maroon's skate sliced open his wrist, which he needed to be rushed to the hospital.
During the warmups last night, Maroon who was mic'd up for the game apologized to Evander, stating he didn't even know he did it, it was his son who told him after:
"My son told me I did it. I didn't even know I did it. My bad I guess."
