Looks like the Montreal Canadiens are no longer 'blacklisting' Logan Mailloux - gets a second chance

Ever since Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes took over the Montreal Canadiens, it seems they've kept 'blacklisted' prospect Logan Mailloux at arms reach. Both Gorton and Hughes have been reportedly willing to cut their losses on Mailloux.

Before Mailloux's draft, he told NHL teams that he didn't earn the right to be selected after he was charged with defamation and offensive photography in Sweden. The request though apparently wasn't enough as Marc Bergevin, Montreal's former General Manager, selected Mailloux in the 1st round. Until this offseason, the new Montreal managed refused to allow Mailloux around his possible Habs teammates.

It looks like though that has changed this summer as Mailloux is attending the Habs development camp. To take it one step further as well, they're even mentioning him on their social media accounts.

The Montreal Canadiens posted a video that shows Josh Anderson, Nick Suzuki and Logan Mailloux with the country band Old Dominion.

The video was taken at the Lasso Music festival and shows the Canadiens are doing far less to distance themselves from their former 1st round pick.

Mailloux is expected to be at training camp with the Canadiens when it opens in a month.
