League is taking some 'extra looks' at Shea Weber
The league is working extra time to make sure Shea Weber is actually as hurt as he says he is, being forced to take a 2nd physical. While I completely understand them wanting to avoid another 'Kucherov situation' I strongly believe if Shea Weber was capable of playing, he would absolutely be on the ice.
There has also been a lot of chatter about Weber taking a management position within the Habs organization, so him "faking an injury" would make no sense. I think his career is officially over. From 32 Thoughts, can someone explain to me how the league looked at most of the other LTIR cases and went «yeah that's fine» but somehow Shea Weber is the one drawing scrutiny? pic.twitter.com/8Fq67R4ooQ— Scott Matla (@scottmatla) December 1, 2021
