Last night the Tampa Bay Lightning hosted the Colorado Avalanche for game 3 after a shalaking in game 2. The Lightning proved why they're the defending champs and decided to have a blowout game of their own and defeated the Colorado Avalanche 6-2.
However, in this victory, there was a reason for concern as much as there was a reason for celebration. In the final few minutes of the game, Nikita Kucherov
took a hit from Devon Toews
and was forced to leave the game.
After the game Tampa Bay Lightning's head coach Jon Cooper was after about the hit and if there was an update on Kucherov. While he had nothing to say about Kucherov, he did have something to say about Toews' hit:
When you get asked questions like that, you're looking for an answer that everybody in the building already knows, It's a contact game, but guys know what they're doing. Smart, savvy players know what they're doing with their stick, and we all saw it.
