Carolina Hurricanes Twitter account takes shots at Brad Marchand and City of Boston

The Carolina Hurricanes' social media manager has always shown they aren't afraid to push the limits. From their trolling of the Montreal Canadiens through the Sebastian Aho and Jesperi Kotkaneimi offer sheets, to their fan interaction and now we can add the Boston Bruins to this list.

Today Brad Marchand took a shot at Vincent Trocheck after Trocheck had made comments about Marchand being a rat. Well Marchand quipped back with, "that's like comparing a Lambo to a Prius."

The reply while in good nature, unfortunately ended up blowing up in Marchand's face. Especially after the Bruins lost 7-1 to the Hurricanes. Even worse for Marchand, he was caught with an open ice hit by that very Prius, Vincent Trocheck, on a dump in.




Of course the Hurricanes Twitter account couldn't leave well enough alone and took aim at Marchand.


But if that wasn't enough the Hurricanes also took aim at the City of Boston and their beloved Patriots.



The Patriots losing the division to the Bills as well as their Wild Card game likely still stings in Boston, even more than tonight's 7-1 defeat.

But just for good measure the Canes left with one final parting shot.
