It's been just over a week now since a video surfaced of a altercation in a adult mens league hockey game in Burnaby, British Columbia where a player took it way too far.

One player kicked his opponent in the face with his skate blade, which he is very lucky more significant injuries did not occur.

The player who committed the kick has been suspended for life by the Adult SAFE Hockey League.

The RCMP have also gotten involved with an investigation for assault, following the kick on July 29th. They are still in the process of speaking with players who witnessed the act, so most likely there will be charges pressed to some degree.

No one in beer league is making the National Hockey League. There is no reason ever for this type of act of violence.
