BREAKING: Top Prospect Rushed To The Emergency Room After Brutal Hit

Rutger McGroarty, a top prospect for the Winnipeg Jets, took a vicious hit in his game on Friday night and was rushed to the emergency room.

McGroarty unable to skate off



Playing for the University of Michigan, the winger took a shot on goal from the right side of the net before taking a hit from a Penn State defenseman which sent him crashing to the ice and backwards into the end boards.

McGroarty seemed dazed and noticeably winced while on the ice as he rolled over and off of his right hip.


He would need to leave the ice via a stretcher, and he was taken to the hospital for further evaluations.


McGroarty was drafted 14th overall by the Jets in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

He is currently a sophomore at Michigan where he has six goals and 12 assists, leading the 12th ranked Wolverines with 18 points on the year.
